Academy
The Academy of Enterprise is a not-for-profit initiative founded by successful entrepreneur Prof Alec Reed in 2000. As a firm-believer in the necessity of an enterprising workforce to ensure the continued growth of the UK economy, Prof Reed established the Academy to promote a spirit of enterprise and the teaching of enterprise learning across the UK.
Network
The Reed College of Enterprise Network consists of some 28 schools nationally. The Network exists to promote embedded enterprise learning across the curriculum.
The Network is currently facilitated through the West London Academy – the City Academy sponsored by Alec Reed.
Projects
Current Academy projects include:- Schoolthink
- Qualification Development – In partnership with NCFE
- Leadership, Innovation and Enterprise Skills (LIES)
- Development of primary enterprise materials
